Designer for the Day
Available a limited number of times per month. Spots fill quickly when I open them.
Six focused hours. My full attention. Decisions made.
This is not something I keep on constant rotation. When I have availability around my active projects, I open a small number of day sessions. They tend to fill quickly, and for good reason.
A Designer for the Day session is six hours long, in person, and tailored to your specific situation. It is for clients who have a real design problem and are ready to solve it. A room that has never quite worked. A renovation where the decisions have stalled. A space you have been staring at for two years trying to figure out. We work through it together, and by the time I leave, you have a clear plan and the confidence to move forward.
People come to these sessions for different reasons. Some are mid-project and second-guessing a direction. Some just moved in and want a fresh eye before committing to anything. Some have a single room they want to finally get right. Whatever brought you here, the format works when you are ready to actually make decisions.
What the day can include.
Furniture layout and space planning
Color direction and paint selections
Finishes, fixtures, or material decisions
Reviewing contractor plans or drawings
Sourcing direction for furnishings or materials
Editing and restyling a room that is not working
On-site measurements.
Who this is for.
Someone with a specific problem and the readiness to solve it. You do not need full project management, but you do need a strong, experienced eye in the room. You have been sitting on a decision, and you are ready to move.
This is not the right fit for a full renovation or ongoing coordination. If that is what you need, Full Service Design is the better option. But for the right situation, one day can change everything.
A note on availability.
I schedule a small number of these around my active project calendar, primarily in the Bay Area and Monterey Bay region. There is no standing waitlist. If you are interested, reach out and tell me what you are working on, and I will let you know what is available.
If you have been thinking about it, sooner is the better call.
Inquire About a Project
I review all inquiries personally and will follow up if it feels like a good fit.
